TIGER SOFTWARE FOR BASIC INVENTORY AND MORE
TIGER Software
There are three principal programs that we have created, and they are described below.

TIGER for Woodlands and Compartments
TIGER for Woodlands and Compartments is the central program and is used to process basic forest inventories and estimate the growth of the forest, with or without a simulated thin, over 20 years. It estimates volume and value per acre by species and does some economic analyses.

TIGER for Stratified Sampling
TIGER for Stratified Sampling combines inventories done on multiple compartments within a woodland and estimates almost everything estimated by TIGER for Woodlands and Compartments.
TIGER for Estimating Basis
TIGER for Estimating Basis estimates the value of the trees in a woodland at the time of purchase, based on a current inventory of the woodland. This can be used to estimate the basis of the woodland, which has tax implications.
